Maine
Fiddle Camp is held at
Camp
NEOFA in Montville, Maine
Montville
is right next to Liberty (in fact, they used to be one town called
Davistown), just a little ways off US Route 3 in the inland part
of Maine's central midcoast region.
From
the intersection of Rt. 220 and Rt. 173 in Liberty, proceed South
on 173 one mile, through Liberty Village, then when 173 makes
a 90 turn to the right, bear left (it will seem almost like going
straight) off 173 for one mile, taking the first right after one
mile onto the Trotting Park Road. Proceed to the end of the dirt
road one mile, turn right onto the Camp Neofa road and proceed
to campgrounds, following the signs.
You
can download maps from our "stuff to
print" page.
We
support and encourage carpooling. It's better for the planet and
also helps prevent the campground from being cluttered with so
many vehicles.
We
also request that once you leave the paved roads you drive slowly
(15mph) so as to preserve our good relations with our neighbors
on that road.
FLYING?
- If you
are flying to Maine for Fiddlecamp, we recommend that you fly
into Portland, Maine (PWM). Portland is about two hours' drive
from camp.
- Boston
(BOS) is two hours south of Portland but has more flights and
is sometimes cheaper. There is terrific bus service from Boston
to Portland and sometimes further north. Check out Concord Trailways
for that information.
- Manchester
NH is another option for flights - about an hour and a half
southwest of Portland, where you can sometimes find cheaper
flights.
